NAHC Partners with Enterprise Fleet Management to Reduce Members' Transportation Costs, Boost Employee Recruitment and Retention
August 30,
2009, WASHINGTON, D.C. — Last
summer, transportation costs weighed especially
heavily on home care and hospice agencies, whose
employees drive nearly 5 billion miles each year
to reach the homes of their patients. These providers
often serve as patients' best — or only — link
to health care services in many areas across the
country. Recognizing this, the National Association
for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) has worked to
find a better solution to help its members reduce
transportation costs and protect against future
price fluctuation.
As part
of those efforts, NAHC is announcing a partnership
with Enterprise Fleet Management through which its
members can receive 15 percent savings or more in
fleet vehicle operating expenses. Working with Enterprise
to create or optimize a fleet vehicle program based
on their specific needs, NAHC members can increase
the efficiency of their operations while enhancing
employee recruitment and retention.
"We implemented
this program with Enterprise to help our members
save money on new vehicles and improve their businesses
overall," stated Val J. Halamandaris, president of
NAHC, the nation's largest trade association representing
the home care and hospice industry. "Home care and
hospice agencies have found that providing newer,
fuel-efficient, well-maintained vehicles not only
can reduce operational expenses, but boosts employee
morale and can help recruit and retain the best quality
employees," he added.
In addition
to analyzing and optimizing qualified fleet or mileage
reimbursement programs, Enterprise Fleet Management
has agreed to provide NAHC members the best fleet
pricing on all available makes and models of cars,
trucks, and vans. Only active NAHC members are
eligible to participate in the NAHC-Enterprise partnership
program. For more information, visit www.enterprisefleet.com,
